Do you want to improve the health of our planet and people through your work? Are you excited about the potential of regenerative agriculture to rejuvenate ourselves and our world?
We are looking for an excellent Sales Lead who is excited to join us on a journey to empowering the farming community to build a better future for us all. You will be responsible for growing sales and bringing on new customers. You will handle the whole sales process from presentations and product demonstrations, to negotiating contracts with potential customers and managing payments. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is required.
We already have over 200 customers predominantly in the UK, and our first few customers in the US, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Chile. We are at a perfect point in the business to bring on our first team member solely focused on sales. Our target markets are organisations supporting farmers as they transition to more regenerative approaches, as well as ecologically focused vineyards – in both cases we have clear evidence of the value our software brings and an established set of farmers who are excited about what we are doing. Now we need your help to bring on many more farmers, as well as introduce the tools to new regions. Our software delivers real value helping people build ecology, profitability and beauty on their farms.
We are a friendly and nurturing team – we are looking for someone who is committed and excited by what we are bringing to the world. We strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply. We are committed to building a more ecological, profitable and beautiful future for all.
Job purpose: to develop sales, consistent with the long-term objectives of Vidacycle
The right person will be excited by our values and committed to seeing more ecological farming practices flourish. We are offering this as a full time employed role but we will consider other working arrangements for the right person. There is the opportunity to travel to the US, NZ, Chile and Europe sporadically – we would not expect more than 2-3 trips a year. Ability to speak Spanish would be a bonus.

About Vidacycle
Vidacycle was born on a small family farm in Chile – we originally developed the software for use there and now have over 200 farms on multiple continents using our software. We make practical digital tools, nothing too fancy; tools that really work out in the field and quickly turn data collected into useful insights! We are a small company but are already having a systemic impact in combination with our sister podcast Farmerama Radio. We have been recognised for our work through our co-founder Abby Rose being named one of the 50 New Radicals by NESTA and the Guardian in 2018 and as one of the 50 Next young people shaping the future of gastronomy by The World’s 50 Best in 2021.
What it’s like to work here
As a growing business, naturally we hope to build opportunities for our team so this role would really suit someone who has solid experience in sales with a desire to develop within the business. As the first member of our sales team you will have the power to identify what’s needed and work with support from the CEO to make it happen.
Abby (CEO) and Inti (CTO) are the co-founders. You will work closely with Abby in your day-to-day role. We are a small team of 3 full timers and 3 part-timers who mainly work remotely (based in the UK, Barcelona, and Chile). We are a values led business and we hold regular check-ins and meetings to guide our company strategy in order to empower everyone to achieve our goals. We focus on practicing what we preach; building ecology, profitability and beauty in our own lives!
As already stated, we strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply. Everyone in the team is committed to nourishing one another.
