Part-time Sales & Partnerships NZ (fully remote) – Autumn 2024

Do you want to improve the health of our planet and people through your work? Are you excited about the potential of regenerative agriculture to rejuvenate ourselves and our world?

We are looking for a sales & partnerships representative in New Zealand to support us on a journey to empower the viticulture community to build a better future for all.

The role entails having an excellent knowledge of the industry and finding the right vineyards to use our regenerative viticulture app “Sectormentor” to expand our customer base. We have a flexible approach to sales focused on building community and long-term relationships, over conventional methods.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a network and experience in grape growing or winemaking, be willing to travel to attend events and visit vineyards as well as being able to communicate about our products and company effectively.

We already have hundreds of customers predominantly in the UK and a growing number of customers in the US, NZ, Aus, Europe and South America. Recently, we have identified a real potential for Sectormentor to be used widely in NZ. We are at a perfect point in the business to work with a Sectormentor sales representative in New Zealand who can be the on-the-ground presence and support our sales effort.

Many of our customers are at the cutting edge of what it takes to practice a regenerative approach to viticulture and farming – so we are in a privileged position of being able to learn with them and support the great work they are doing with our apps. Going forward our target segments are ecologically oriented vineyards and those who are just starting to understand the importance of soil health – in both cases we have clear evidence of the value our software brings and an established community of viticulturists who are excited about what we are doing. Our software delivers real value helping people build ecology, profitability and beauty on their farms. Now we need your help to expand our presence in New Zealand.

We are a friendly and nurturing team – we are looking for someone who is committed and excited by what we are bringing to the world and is already immersed in the viticulture industry in NZ, so this role is a perfect addition to their portfolio of offerings. We strongly encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply – we are committed to building a more ecological, profitable and beautiful future for all.

Job purpose: to share about our software and develop a vineyard clientele keen to use Sectormentor, consistent with the long-term objectives of Vidacycle

The right person will be excited by our values and committed to seeing more ecological farming practices flourish. We are offering this as a part time contracted role (1-2 days/week) but we will consider other working arrangements for the right person.

About Vidacycle

Vidacycle was born on a small family farm in Chile – we originally developed the software for use there and now have over 500 farms on multiple continents using our software. We make practical digital tools, nothing too fancy; tools that really work out in the field and quickly turn data collected into useful insights!

What it’s like to work here

As a growing business, naturally we hope to build opportunities for our team so this role would really suit someone who has good knowledge of regenerative farming and some experience writing, with a desire to develop within the business. You will be working closely with the Operations/Support Lead, Sales Lead and CEO to make it happen.

Abby (CEO) and Inti (CTO) are the co-founders. Eliza is operations lead and Victoria is sales lead, you will be working most closely with Victoria & Abby, and coordinating with Eliza for accounts set-up and management. We are a small team of 7 who mainly work remotely (based in the UK, Spain, USA and Chile). We focus on practicing what we preach; building ecology, profitability and beauty in our own lives!

The team predominantly operates in GMT-6 to GMT+1 time zones. As an ambassador working in GMT+12/13 you would mainly be interacting with the sales lead Victoria in GMT-6. As the role expands there could be opportunities to become more part of the team but this would require you to join meetings outside NZ normal working hours.
